IIM Ahmedabad Summer Placements 2026–27: Top recruiters, 160-plus roles and global career opportunities converge on campus

When the next generation of management leaders meets the world’s leading consulting firms, investment banks, consumer brands and corporate groups, a summer placement becomes much more than a recruitment exercise—it becomes a window into the skills, sectors and global opportunities shaping tomorrow’s business landscape.

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM Ahmedabad) has brought an expansive cross-section of employers into its 2026–27 Summer Placement Process for the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) Class of 2028, with the first two clusters offering more than 160 roles collectively across a wide range of industries. The first cluster was held on October 23 and the second on October 27, with recruiters participating through a hybrid format that combined online and in-person engagement.

From management consulting and investment banking to private equity, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, fashion, real estate and e-commerce, the two rounds reflect the breadth of career pathways available to aspiring management professionals.

The process also features international opportunities, including EY-Parthenon in Singapore and Goldman Sachs and HSBC in Hong Kong. With Cluster 3 scheduled for October 30, 2026, the placement process continues to bring students and recruiters together across an increasingly diverse business environment.

Cluster 1: Consulting, finance and investment expertise take centre stage

Held on October 23, the first cluster brought together recruiters across six cohorts: advisory consulting; cards and financial advisory; investment banking and markets; management consulting; private equity/venture capital (PE/VC), asset management and hedge funds; and transformation and operations consulting.

The cluster featured more than 85 roles, according to the institute’s placement update.

The consulting cohort included Accenture Strategy, Alvarez & Marsal, Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group, EY-Parthenon, Kearney, Kepler Cannon, L.E.K. Consulting, McKinsey & Company, Oliver Wyman, Roland Berger, Strategy&, Vector Consulting Group and YCP India, among others.

The investment banking and markets cohort featured Bank of America, Barclays, Citibank, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, JPMorgan Chase, Moelis & Co, Morgan Stanley, Standard Chartered Bank and The Raine Group.

The PE/VC, asset management and hedge funds cohort included Ares Management, Aquilon Capital, Catamaran, Gaja Capital, Multiples Alternate Asset Management and Blackstone.

American Express, Cranmore Partners and Synergy Consulting participated in the cards and financial advisory cohort. The first cluster also included international opportunities with EY-Parthenon Singapore, Goldman Sachs Hong Kong and HSBC Hong Kong.

The participating firms represented a broad mix of advisory, financial and strategic functions, giving students exposure to varied career tracks within the management and financial services ecosystem.

Cluster 2: Corporate India, consumer brands and emerging sectors broaden the field

The second cluster, held on October 27, expanded the recruitment landscape to nine cohorts: advertising and media; conglomerates; consumer goods; consumer services; fashion; financial platforms and services; pharmaceuticals and healthcare; real estate; and retail B2B and retail e-commerce.

According to the institute’s update, the cluster featured more than 75 roles.

The conglomerates cohort included Abhinandan Ventures, Aditya Birla Group, CKA Birla, Essar Group, GMR Group, Godrej Group, Mahindra Group, RPSG Group, Saint-Gobain, TATA Administrative Services and Vedanta Group.

The consumer goods cohort featured AB InBev, Berger Paints, Dabur, Dot & Key, Hindustan Unilever Ltd, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, ITC, Nestlé, Procter & Gamble, Purplle, The Coca-Cola Company, United Breweries and Wipro Consumer Care. Kwality Wall’s, Mars, Mondelez, Reckitt and Yum! joined the process as new or returning recruiters.

Bloomberg, FinIQ and Indxx featured in the financial platforms and services cohort, while Endemol Shine and JioStar participated in advertising and media.

The pharmaceuticals and healthcare cohort included Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Emcure Pharmaceuticals, FDC Limited, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals and Medtronic India. Amazon and Myntra featured in retail B2B and retail e-commerce, while Airtel participated in consumer services.

Two new cohorts were added this year. Raymond featured in fashion, while Eden Landmarks and Experion Developers represented real estate.

What the placement landscape signals

The breadth of participating employers highlights the range of functions that management graduates may explore—from corporate strategy and financial markets to brand management, healthcare, media, retail and real estate.

The participation of established recruiters alongside new or returning firms also illustrates how placement opportunities can span different business models and industry priorities. International openings further underline the potential for students to explore careers beyond India, although individual roles, locations and selection outcomes depend on the respective recruiters.

For students preparing to enter the management profession, this diversity reinforces the importance of analytical ability, commercial awareness, communication, adaptability and a sound understanding of the sectors in which they hope to build their careers.

Cluster 3 scheduled for October 30

IIM Ahmedabad’s hybrid summer placement process continues with the third cluster scheduled for October 30, 2026.

As the process progresses, the institute’s placement updates will remain an important source of information on recruiter participation and the range of opportunities available to the PGP Class of 2028.
