Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Gujarat is now heading towards the tenth edition of Vibrant Gujarat. Two decades after the first Vibrant Gujarat Summit in 2003, Gujarat now stands as an industrial hub. Economic prosperity has now reached the rural areas of Gujarat due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to extending the benefits of development to marginalized communities. Sanand Industrial Estate in Ahmedabad has attracted prominent global companies, ushering in a new era of economic and social progress for the residents of the neighbouring villages.
Sanand-2 Industrial Estate has acquired 2003 hectares of land from four neighboring villages: Bol, Hirapur, Shiawada, and Charal. Following the establishment of various companies in this area, the Gram Panchayat has begun to receive professional taxes. During the period from 2012-13 to 2021-22, Bol village received the highest tax revenue, surpassing ₹13 crore, followed by Hirapur with ₹3.95 crore, Charal with ₹1.97 crore, and Shiawada with ₹1.31 crore as professional tax.

Tax revenue saw a significant growth, from zero to crores
In 2012-13, the professional tax revenue in these four villages was zero. Over the years, this figure steadily increased and reached over one crore in 2021-22. In 2021, the income from business tax stood at ₹2.4 crores for Bol village, ₹93.25 lakh for Hirapur, ₹29.45 lakh for Charal, and ₹35.26 lakh for Shiawada.
The income of Chharodi Panchayat increased by over ₹15 Crore in a decade
Due to the GIDC in Chharodi, located 15 km from Sanand, the income of Chharodi Gram Panchayat has doubled in ten years. In 2012-13, Chharodi Panchayat recorded a professional tax revenue of ₹52.38 lakh, which has increased to ₹1.35 crore in 2021-22. From 2012-13 to 2021-22, Chharodi Panchayat collected a total professional tax revenue of ₹15.54 crore.

Sewer line network and CCTV in Bol village, cash incentive on birth of first girl child
Sarpanch Narendra Singh Barad shared the significant developments in Bol village. The village now boasts an entire sewer line network. Bol also has the benefits of well-constructed RCC roads, CCTV cameras, and streetlights. For effective communication, a village-wide sound system has been installed to relay important messages from the Panchayat to all residents.
In a commitment to girl child education, the Panchayat offers a ₹5,000 incentive from its funds to families on the birth of their first daughter. Besides Bol Village has implemented a door-to-door waste collection system for sanitation.
