Vibrant Gujarat : Govt inks 23 MoUs for proposed investment of Rs. 1 lakh crore

Ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, as many as 23 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed between various business entities and the state government on Wednesday for proposed investments of Rs 1 lakh crore.

With these MoUs, 100 such agreements have been inked for potential investments of Rs 1.35 lakh crore in Gujarat ahead of the 10th edition of the biennial investor summit to be held from January 10 to 12 at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, said a state government release.

In an ongoing series of MoU signing per week ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2024, so far 77 MoUs have been signed for investment of Rs. 35,000 crore on 13 occasions. Today was the 14th day of the MoU signing series on which 23 MoUs were signed for 1 lakh crore potential investment. So far 100 MoUs have been signed for a proposed investment of Rs. 1.35 lakh crore.

Among the MoUs signed today are the MoUs for investment in port, power, minerals, engineering, auto, industrial parks, textile, apparel, chemicals, petrochemicals, education, agro and food processing etc sectors.

According to the government, the industrial units for which MoUs were signed today will start operations during the 2025-2030 period at Amreli, Valsad, Hazira, Dwarka, Jamnagar, Kutch, Salaya, Morbi, Jamnagar, Dholka, Rajkot, Surendranagar, Vadodara, Mahesana etc districts.

The signing of these MoUs marks a significant step in attracting investments and fostering economic growth in Gujarat.
