Five more MoUs worth Rs. 1,095 crores signed in the run-up to the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024. Five more MoUs have been concluded today as a precursor to the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, which is to be organized under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in January 2024.
In the presence of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, five MoUs have been signed, paving the way for a potential investment of Rs. 1,095 crores. This substantial investment is expected to lead to the creation of 1,230 employment opportunities within the next year.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel is spearheading an initiative by the state government to engage in MoU signings with diverse industrialists, aiming to secure capital investments for the state prior to the commencement of the forthcoming Vibrant Summit.
Since July 2023, a total of seven phases have seen the signing of numerous MoUs in this context, amounting to potential investments worth Rs. 13,536 crores.
Following the implementation of this MoU, a total of 50,717 employment opportunities will be created in the state.
The MoU signed today includes projects in packaging material production, plastics, textiles, and the renewable sector. It also encompasses projects in formulation and API production, as well as food processing plants for products like edible oil, green tea, ready-to-eat Gujarati Khichdi, ghee from Gir cows, and honey production. Additionally, it includes an MoU for ready-to-cook products under the Greenfield Plant.
Due to the proactive approach of the state government led by Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, the industrialists who entered the MoU have conveyed their contentment regarding the smooth process of obtaining all the necessary permissions for establishing their industries.
Under the initiative of MoU signings every week on Wednesday, today Minister of Industries Shri Balvantsinh Rajput, Chief Secretary Shri Raj Kumar, Chief Principal Secretary to CM Shri K. Kailashnathan, Additional Chief Secretaries, senior secretaries, and representatives of industry houses participated in this phase of MoU signing.
