The Baroda Management Association (BMA) organized a dual event featuring the 34th Annual Management Convention based on the theme “Green Energy for a Sustainable Future” and the BMA Open Chess Tournament. The event showcased the talents of Gujarat’s best chess players, aligning with the state government’s Khel Mahakumbh initiative.
Established in 1957, the Baroda Management Association (BMA) is a non-profit organization that actively promotes management practices and contributes to the economic and social development of the community.
This highly anticipated event was held under the visionary leadership of Mukund Purohit, the dynamic President of BMA and Chairman of the Annual Management Convention Committee (AMC). Mukund Purohit stated that discussions on energy would support the Prime Minister’s vision regarding climate change and help advance the green energy sector. Additionally, the exciting chess tournament aimed to foster intellectual growth and strategic thinking among participants of all age groups, providing a platform to showcase talent. It also served as a complementary event to the state government’s Khel Mahakumbh, aiding in talent discovery. By combining management and chess, this event highlighted BMA’s commitment to empowering individuals and communities to tackle complex global challenges.
Vadodara’s young MP, Dr. Hemangbhai Joshi, cricketer Kiran More, and Vadodara BJP President Vijay Shah inaugurated the green energy event. Dr. Hemangbhai Joshi emphasized his association with BMA and remarked that activities like the chess event should be held regularly to attract the youth of Vadodara. Regarding the green energy event, he added that India is progressing significantly in this field, and with good policies and implementation, the country will emerge as a world leader. Noted cricketer Kiran More highlighted Vadodara’s consistent prominence in the field of sports and appreciated the efforts of organizations like BMA.
