Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel initiated individual meetings with 13 prominent industrialists and investors in New Delhi on Friday, October 6th. This serves as a precursor to the forthcoming Vibrant
Gujarat Global Summit scheduled for January 2024.To kick off these one-on-one sessions, Mr. D.J. Kim, Country Head of Seoul Semiconductor, met with the Chief Minister. Seoul Semiconductor is the fourth- largest LED manufacturer globally.
During a discussion with the Country Head of Seoul Semiconductor, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel outlined Gujarat’s potential to become a hub for semiconductor manufacturing. He emphasized that Gujarat is leading the way as the first state in India to implement the Semiconductor Policy.
Furthermore, the meeting touched upon the recent development where Micron- a globally renowned chipmaker, has laid the foundation stone for a new plant in Sanand, Gujarat. In this context, Mr. D.J. Kim, Country Head of Seoul Semiconductor, expressed interest in establishing his own plant in Gujarat.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel provided a comprehensive overview of the incentives offered under the Semiconductor Policy 2022-27. Furthermore, Chief Minister Patel extended an invitation to the Country Head of Seoul Semiconductor to participate in the Vibrant Summit-2024.
