Bombay High Court accepts Godrej Consumer’s plea orders action against Gujarat based Kresko Projects. Godrej Protekt, India’s trusted hygiene brand from Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL), has recently taken action against Kresko Projects Private Limited that has allegedly been manufacturing lookalike products of Protekt Mr. Magic, India’s first ever powder to liquid hand wash. Kresko named the product as Rapi- G Magical for the
hand wash.
GCPL has instituted a suit in the Bombay High Court for the copyright and trademark infringement. The Court Receiver along with the State Police department in Gujarat have conducted the search and seizure of the Copycat products.
The Court receiver visited Kresko’s manufacturing unit as well as the office on the morning of 26 th February, 21’ in Ahmedabad, Gujarat for the search and seizure action.
The action resulted in the seizure of more than 3900 pieces of Rapi- g Magical hand wash sachets and more than
290,000 pieces of unfinished packaging material, The premises have been sealed and the keys handed over to the company representative. The suit will proceed against the Kresko Projects Private Limited at the Bombay High Court.
