Major expansion of Deendayal Port at Tuna-Tekra in Gujarat, as approved by the Union Cabinet, will provide a major boost to India ‘s international trade, strengthening the Indian economy, building a robust foundation for the Bharat@100 vision, ASSOCHAM Secretary General Mr Deepak Sood said today.
A slew of development and expansion projects in Gujarat is a manifestation of the multibillion-dollar PM Gati Shakti program, unveiled to scale up India ‘s infrastructure to the global level. “Our exports will become more competitive and imports more cost efficient with improved port, road, rail and airport infrastructure, Mr Sood said.
He said the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ‘s focus on nation building through foresight and medium to long term development projects would help us realise his goal of making India a developed country.
Besides his approach for inclusive growth in partnership with the private sector would enable us to double down on our development objectives.
At a time when major economies of the world are facing recession, India remain as a bright spot.
