CM Vijay Rupani led a review meeting with senior officials of various departments for comprehensive and speedy implementation of ‘Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana-2.
Under the leadership of Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani, a review meeting was held at Gandhinagar today with top officials of various departments to make ‘Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana part-II’ widespread and for its speedy implementation.
Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Nitin Patel, Tribal Minister Mr. Ganpat Vasava and Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Mr. Raman Patkar were also present in the meeting and gave necessary instructions.
The Chief Minister said that in this year’s budget, ‘Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana Part-II’ of Rs. 1 lakh crore has been announced for next five years. Under this scheme, different works are to be undertaken for sustainable development of tribal areas and people residing there. He added that more emphasis would have to be laid on schemes covering every person in these regions so as to bring about more social, economic and educational development.
The Chief Minister also suggested in this meeting to understand current needs of the people of 14 tribal districts and include them in this scheme.
In this meeting, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. K. Kailashnathan, Additional Chief Secretaries of various departments, Secretaries, Directors and other high officials were present.
Secretary of Tribal Department Dr. Murali Krishna gave a detailed presentation of ‘Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana-2’ on this occasion.
