Gandhinagar, : In the current epidemic of corona, the young entrepreneurs of Rajkot have taken an innovative initiative to meet the need of oxygen at the local level for the treatment of patients more infected with this epidemic by setting up a portable oxygen concentrator on an experimental basis.
The young engineers of Frebi Technology Pvt. Ltd. demonstrated this portable oxygen concentrator before Gujarat Chief Minster Mr. Vijay Rupani here in Gandhinagar today.
Mr. Rupani congratulated and encouraged the youth for their innovation and initiative to come up and contribute their efforts for making Atmanirbhar Bharat – Make in Gujarat.
Demonstrating this portable oxygen concentrator to CM, Mr. Mukesh Virdiya said that this machine with oxygen flow of 10 liters per minute is plug and play-portable and it will supply oxygen to two patients simultaneously.
He said that after testing the machine for three days on an experimental basis, it will now be handed over to doctors for final product trial run only after obtaining Russian standard testing and other necessary approvals.
As this portable oxygen concentrator does not absorb moisture in the breath, the possibility of other moisture-borne diseases or diseases like mucormycrosis will be very negligible, said CM.
After the demonstration Mr. Rupani said that the state government will guide them in getting the necessary approvals and encouraged the young entrepreneurs.
Rajkot Municipal Corporation ward-6 Corporator Mr. Bipin Bera, Mr. Mukesh Virdiya, Mr. Rajendrabhai, Mr. Govindbhai Maliya and Mr. Umeshbhai joined during the demonstration before CM.
