APM Terminals Pipavav has taken another step in the course of Covid-19 prevention and mitigation activities owing to the second wave of the pandemic. Port has issued an advisory to all its customers informing to prioritise all Covid relief material in transit. The objective of this service is to facilitate the transportation of the Covid relief material at the earliest to ensure it reaches to the community on time to save precious lives.

The company has been undertaking various initiatives in order to combat the pandemic and provide ease in the current state of distress. Understanding the necessity of nursing professionals serving as a backbone of medical system in fighting COVID Pandemic, APM Terminals Pipavav has channelized and facilitated more than 70 nursing staff for several hospitals around the port, with COVID Care facility since March 2021. The company also extended Life support ambulance to be used by the surrounding villagers in case of emergency. In congruence of maintaining social distancing, the port has facilitated an Isolation centre at Vrundavan Bag, Rampara Village with residence, food and medicinal facility. Furthermore, the port is promptly supporting the District administration with medical supplies on a continual basis.
Educating and spreading awareness about the severity of the situation is another crucial task in the battle against the pandemic. For the same, the port has begun an awareness drive for the Prevention of COVID and encouraging villagers for COVID Vaccination. This activity is spread across more than 30 villages on an on-going basis.
