APSEZ Mundra sets Multiple Records in Handling Cargo

APSEZ Mundra has once again created a new milestone by handling 13.78 Million MT cargo in October 2020. It is the highest ever cargo handled by any port in the country. This record makes APSEZ Mundra the first one to achieve such a milestone in cargo handling.

Mundra Port’s container volume crossed a milestone of 5 Lac TEUs in a month. AICTPL CT3 accomplished a new milestone in October 2020 by achieving container throughput of 2,41,081 TEUs. Through this, it surpasses its previous record of 2,12,613 TEUs, accomplished in August 2020. It is the highest monthly throughput ever achieved by any container terminal port in the country. APSEZ Mundra Railway handled its highest ever number of 1,445 trains which includes 296 goods & 1,149 container trains in October 2020, surpassing its previous best of 1,432 trains including 219 goods & 1,213 container trains in September 2020.

APSEZ Mundra Dry cargo created a new record by handling the highest ever of 223 fertilizer rakes with 7.30 Lac MT of bagged cargo in October 2020. Its previous best was 211 rakes with 6.48 Lac MT in October 2015.

With these achievements, Mundra Port maintains its place at no.1 and the remains to be the, going way ahead of JNPT.

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZ) Mundra, spanning over an area of 15026 hectares, is located on the western coast of India, Gulf of Kutch, in the vibrant state of Gujarat. APSEZ is notified with an area over 8481.28 Ha and is one of the largest notified and operational port-based Multi-Product SEZ along with multi-modal connectivity in the whole country.
